An other Church set on fire by unidentified person

LAHORE: Today January 9,2016,Pastor Mehboob called Sardar Mushtaq Gill,Human Rights Defender, who heads LEAD and told that on January 6, 2016 there was a minor dispute among local Muslims and Christians at village Bath near Shamki Bhattian Multan Road Lahore when the local congregation of Apostolic Church arranged and organised a Healing Prayer. At night the Church was set on fire.
Pastor Zulifqar told that a complaint has been been filed at Police Station Manga Mandi against unknown persons and the matter is under investigation. He also told that the Holy Bibles and furniture was burnt down with fire which also slightly damaged Church building.

He informed that the dispute was started over the use of loudspeaker in the Church.According to detail, during the worship a few clerics came to Pastor Yaqoob Saroya ,who is In-charge of the church, and told him to put the Laud Speaker Off as it was the time of Islamic prayers but he disagreed with their demand.

Mostly Christians of the village thought that seting the church on fire is due to Muslim-Christian dispute but there is no evidence or any witnesses of the incident against the Muslims. Therefore a few Christians of village also think that it may be an electric short-circuit which has given fire to the tents in the Church yard as well as the building.

Sardar Mushtaq Gill,Human Rights Defender strongly condemns it and demands fair investigation in this serious matter of setting Church on fire.
