"We are being threatened by the one rapist who is on bail to withdraw the case",said Liqat father of rape victim girl.
In Pakistan, rape is used as a weapon against Christians girls who are marginalised and poor. These girls mostly work in homes as maids. It is seen that the rest of society stays quiet because it is not happening in their own backyard. We are witness that rapists are never brought to justice because of forcible compromise and otherwise.
The rape victims face terrible difficulties; they have not received proper treatment for their sexual assaults and many currently lie in hospitals or in their homes.Their families are being denied justice every day and become Psycho patients.
We at LEAD are working on the ground in Pakistan. We truly are doing work that puts sometimes ourselves at great personal risk. Please pray for us and if you have not supported our work financially yet please consider doing so, as you will be literally saving lives.
